I think Omi and Opi are right. There are words to describe you: amazing, phenomenal, inspiring, and miracle. What an incredible life. Happy happy birthday big boy!

Three years ago tonight I was suddenly on a flight to California since my grandson decided to be born after only 23 weeks gestation. He was so frail and tiny at only 1 lb 5 oz. I have one of his diapers from then that measured about 2" x 3" and was too big for his little bottom. so hard not to be able to hold him and give him a Nana kiss. He has since been thru many ups and downs with his health i...ssues but in general is doing very well. He is super intelligent, speaks two languages fluently for a 3 year old, (plus a Loki Language that no one understands), has a great sense of humor and always has a smile for who every might need one. He is very normal 3 year old in every way. His great achievement should all be credited to his wonderful, patient, loving parents. Loki was given to them because God new they would be the perfect people to care for him and love him. I only wish to be around long enough to see the great things he will accomplish. He certainly survived all he has been thru in the past three years for a reason. I know in my heart he is going to do great things. We love you Loki Sky Reynolds. Happy Birthday. Sending you great bigs hugs and kisses from Nana and Papaw.

Hoi Loki,

About Loki Sky

Loki Sky is a special little man. He was a very early micropreemie, weighing only 610 grams (1 lb, 5 oz) after 24 weeks, 3 days gestation, born to an American Father and a Dutch Mother in Berkeley, California on October 18, 2008.

On January 11, 2009, while still in the hospital NICU, his one kidney stopped working. It was repaired after three surgeries. After spending time in three hospitals in three cities, Loki came home on February 17. He struggled with eating, and then stopped in July, leading to 8 days in the hospital, a failure-to-thrive diagnosis, and a NG feeding tube. On October 10, a minor surgery installed a G feeding tube. Another procedure replaced it with a new one, and then again with a Mic-Key button in Jan. 2010.

In August 2010, he and his parents moved to the Netherlands.
