Yesterday Loki had his tonsils removed. It went mostly smoothly for the most part. He went into the operation relaxed. But he woke up from the anesthesia quite dramatically, jumping around and trying to remove his IV. Once calmed down, he recovered fairly well. Having a feeding tube turned out to be an advantage in several ways: he can get food and water without swallowing, we can easily check if his throat is bleeding by pulling out a few mL of stomach contents, and he could get medicine through the tube instead of by suppository. We are now home, trying to get him to eat popsicles.
Before Loki's surgery, Mom gave him a gift of a doctor costume. This is not a great photo but it shows most of the outfit:

We got year passes for Loki and Mom at the little amusement park which is just around the corner. Loki was extremely keen on the pair of mascots there:
So keen that he followed them around for a while, and got a cap with their picture on it:
Posing #2, on the little Ferris wheel:
Our friends Richard, Maaike, and their kids visited, and we all went to the amusement park for the day:
Loki gradually became comfortable enough to ride alone on the carousel:
After the park, the kids chalked up our back outside wall:

It has been quite warm. In the city center, we stripped him down and he played in a fountain:
And watered the plants there:
