Today I spent a little less time in the hospital. It feels as if the mastitis, yeast infection and lack of sleep are catching up with me. I am tired and am somehow trying to catch up on my sleep. Margaret was back today though, so unfortunately I missed part of that! The good news is, that with Margaret and a wonderful new nurse in the evening, it was a little easier to leave and spend some more time at home. The bad news, when at home I had a hard time actually resting and did some of the household chores that have been waiting to be done for a while. I guess this is a welcome to parenthood!
In the mean while, little Loki is just cruising right along, showing he seems to be ready to move to CPAP. Hopefully this will happen sometime early this week. He weighs 1293 grams, makes big poopy diapers, spent some time on 23 percent oxygen while satting really well during his feeding, and looks adorable as ever!! He sleeps so much more these days and that obviously has a major impact on his growth. He continues to be incredibly cute and handsome, and just looking at him all swaddled up makes my day!

So sorry that you are feeling so bad. I can only imagine the pain and discomfort.
Great progress on little Loki. CPAP will be a big step forward.

Wat vervelend dat je hiet lekker bent, maar wat goed dat je (probeert) je rust te pakken. Dat kan natuurlijk ook alleen maar als je weet dat er goede verpleegkundigen zijn voor Loki en die zijn er gelukkig.Wat fijn om te lezen dat Marieke snel bij je is en een beetje voor je kan zorgen. En super dat je als trotse moeder je kleine mannetje kan showen aan je zus!
Slapen is goed voor een baby, dus slaap lekker Loki. Dat is ook fijn voor mama, dan mist ze ook minder wakkere uurtjes als ze er niet is.

Wat fijn om te zien dat jullie het zo goed doen en dat Loki lekker op weg is een grote baby te worden. Wat een ventje, hij is zo schattig op de foto's. Ik lees zoveel liefde en blijdschap in jullie berichten en ik ben blij voor je dat je er zo dichtbij kan zijn.
Zoals je misschien merkt vind het soms nog moeilijk om alleen via comments te communiceren en via de blog op de hoogte te blijven maar de gewoonte van het lezen zit er nu in en als je maar weet dat ik aan jullie denk en vertrouwen en warmte stuur. Over sturen gesproken, wat is jullie adres daar en thuis?
Ik ga voor 3.5 week naar NL en hoop jullie te bezoeken als ik terug ben.
Dan is Loki inmiddels 11 weken oud! Lijn, die grote en kleine man van je hebben het getroffen met zo'n sterke en liefhebbende vrouw als jij. Een grote knuffel!
