He is sooooo cute! I am so glad he is doing so well. I will be there on Monday afternoon and start cleaning for our little dude to come home. (Oma - I will do a very good "Grandma" cleaning for our little boy). Give him a hug for me. Love....nana

Oh, I want to cuddle him so badly. Maybe when the cold/flu season is over...

Can't wait to see pictures of him at home!

Love,

Hee lieve mensen, welkom in de Hemel van Loki (vertaling van Babel Fish), dat moet ongeveer zijn plek zijn die Janie voor hem heeft schoongemaakt dan. Wow. So much has happened and maybe we are going to witness Loki's homecoming, like we were expecting to practically see him being born one of these days... I'm very proud of you all and wish you some more steady days at UCSF so you can finally hava a well rested return (?) home. I will e-mail or call to fill you in on our adventures.

Dikke kus,
Maaike

Hi Loki. In your first week Nurse Amber already said about your reflexes: Yeah, he's gonna be a good sucker! Which made all of us laugh. But ofcourse she was right, and by that you can tell that her expertixe. Keep on sucking, little loki growing bigger and bigger.
Frits.

O jee, I forgot to say how unbelievable cute and handsome you are, you must have such "hot" parents:-)

Dear mom and dad, another reason for not sleeping, Loki coming home! Your feelings are probably so mixed and going round and round. The candle is still burning (ok the 11th one)for no more trubles and a safe homecoming. How great nana wil be there and clean like a professional germ-buster!

Am repressing urges to squeeze my laptop screen with index finger and thumb while making embarassing love-sounds that only little Loki babies understand....

Now I am starting to see Lijn. There is no question that Loki is Jesse's son, but now Lijn coming through for sure.

About Loki Sky

Loki Sky is a special little man. He was a very early micropreemie, weighing only 610 grams (1 lb, 5 oz) after 24 weeks, 3 days gestation, born to an American Father and a Dutch Mother in Berkeley, California on October 18, 2008.

On January 11, 2009, while still in the hospital NICU, his one kidney stopped working. It was repaired after three surgeries. After spending time in three hospitals in three cities, Loki came home on February 17. He struggled with eating, and then stopped in July, leading to 8 days in the hospital, a failure-to-thrive diagnosis, and a NG feeding tube. On October 10, a minor surgery installed a G feeding tube. Another procedure replaced it with a new one, and then again with a Mic-Key button in Jan. 2010.

In August 2010, he and his parents moved to the Netherlands.
